It’s that time of year when our thoughts turn to pumpkin pie and turkey with gravy. But it’s also a time when local food banks see a dip in donations, just as the winter season approaches. Doc Thorne sent us an email asking for help. Today, we dedicate the Food Column to his request.

Cary, Morrisville and Apex are all home to community gardens (plus a variety of school gardens), and many are starting their 2012 planning now and invite new members to join them.
The Downtown restaurant scene in Cary is always changing. The new “in” place to eat lunch: Bosphorus. The food is fantastic, the service and experience are classy and comfortable and the price is right.
The 5th annual Beaujolais Wine Tasting to support Sister Cities of Cary will take place on Friday, November 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the Matthews House in downtown Cary.
