Cotton House Craft Brewers Now Open in Downtown Cary

Cary, NC – Now open on Academy Street, Cotton House Craft Brewers offers Caryites a place for small batch beers, food and outdoor seating with a stage for live performances.

New Downtown Brewery

Cotton House Craft Brewers opened in late January 2019 and owner Brent Webb said they have already brought out crowds to the venue each day.

“We’ve had great local support. Even in bad weather, people are coming out,” Webb said.

Cotton House has several core beers but they also have a rotating list of small batch beers so Webb said they always have something new coming in for customers to drink.

“Our big thing now is we are continuing to expand our product line,” Webb said. “We’ll have a week’s notice on every new beer. We will have a list at our venue and online.”

Currently, Webb said Cotton House has three small batch beers and are releasing a new flagship IPA as well as a special beer for Valentine’s Day.

Cotton House is next door to the Mayton Inn and customers can order food from the Mayton Inn off of a menu while they are at the brewery, which Webb said has been “working beautifully.”

Historic Site

Webb’s initial plans for Cotton House included a stage in the back for live performances and he said the construction will be done on it in the next 3o-to-60 days. While the inside of the building is too small for live entertainment, Webb said, there are still some amenities.

“There is a piano in the back room and customers have sat down at it and played,” Webb said.

There is also a heated tent in the back porch of Cotton House so people can be outside even with the current cold weather.

Cotton House Craft Brewers is inside of a historic house in Cary, built more than 100 years ago, and it is filled with pieces of Cary history and history from Webb’s own family.

“The space is unique for a for a brewery. It’s not like any other business in town,” Webb said. “Each room has its own set of historic items.”

To Webb, this venue is more than a place to get drinks and food, but it is also a way to learn about history while enjoying a craft beer at the same time.

Cotton House Craft Brewers is located at 307 S Academy St.
