Food Truck Rodeo: Photos & Recap

Cary, NC — On Sunday, April 19, 2015, Cary’s first food truck rodeo of the year took place along W. Chatham Street. Despite the rain, our intrepid photographer headed downtown to take some photos.

A Rainy Food Truck Rodeo

The food truck rodeo, called the Chatham Street Chowdown, was highly-anticipated. One week before the it, on April 13, 2015, we published a story announcing the event.

Right away, the post got tremendous response on Facebook, and it has climbed to the top of list of our most-read stories for the month. Translation? Cary likes food.

Maybe that’s why, despite a steady rainfall during 90% of the chowdown, W. Chatham Street still saw a good turnout of folks. This food truck rodeo featured 15 different food trucks serving items like pork sandwiches, Asian food, macaroni and cheese, cupcakes, dumplings and more. Beer, wine and live music also enlivened the scene.
